In Chanel At The 2009 Old Dogs World Premiere
Barbra Streisand wore Chanel while attending the world premier of Disney’s “Old Dogs” on November 9, 2009 at the El Capitan Theatre in L.A.

She was photographed in the green room with her son Jason Gould, John Travolta, Kelly Preston, Ella Travolta and Rich Ross.

Barbra has been close friends with the Travolta family for many years. In 1998 John Travolta told People Magazine that Barbra confided in them about her upcoming wedding to James Brolin. “After her mother, Kelly and I were the first to know the big news. We got misty-eyed, then thrilled that we were in on it so quickly. But Barbra asked us to keep it a secret.”

This wool suit debated as part of the Chanel Fall 2008 ready-to-wear collection as look #34.

It features a white silk removable collar and cuffs edged in Chanel’s signature fringe. Barbra put her own spin on this collar by wearing it upturned, giving a regal vibe to the outfit.

There is a princess seam at the front of the jacket with two patch pockets and a slight flair/peplum waist.

Six black buttons with crystal detailing form the front closure of the jacket. These tiny works of art were created at The Maison Desrues factory just outside of Paris. Three more of these buttons trim each sleeve at the cuff.

The back of the jacket has two half belts with one button closing each. Barbra completed this look by adding descending strands of pearls and diamonds.
